Carne Asada Fries

These shouldn’t be as simple and quick because I want to make them ALL THE TIME. I love french fries. I am not really a sweets kind-of-girl but savory and fatty foods are my jam. So the fact that I can combine carne asada with fries…. this is my happy place.

I love anything I can use to get rid of leftovers and only get one pan dirty. You could even line your sheet pan with foil to skip an extra clean up step. Who really enjoys scrubbing and scrubbing after dinner to get the burnt on food off the pan? Not this girl! Plus, who has the time!?

  1. Pre-heat oven according to the package of fries directions.
  2. I like to use leftover beef to reduce time and pans but if your beef isn't already cooked you can throw it in a medium skillet over medium-high heat and cook for about five minutes flipping occasionally.
  3. Place a layer of fries on a large greased sheet pan.
  4. Dust fries with taco seasoning.
  5. Top fries with beef and cheese and place in the oven for the amount of time listed on your directions for the fries.
  6. While fries are cooking combine tomato, onion, lime juice, salt, 3/4 of the cilantro, and jalapeno.
  7. When fries are done spread the pico over the top and garnish with more fresh cilantro. Dig in!
