Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Lactation Bites

I initially prepped and froze these while I was pregnant in anticipation to the nursing hunger I knew would be coming in the middle of the night. There was only one problem…. I didn’t prep enough. These are really just that good! Embarrassingly enough, I have add these for breakfast almost every day since having my daughter and even keep them on hand for snacks too. My husband loves a variation with raisins instead of chocolate chips for his snacks too, so it is not only great for nursing mamas but anyone looking for a tasty and filling snack.

Here’s what I love about these for nursing. Some moms may notice an increase in milk supply with oats, flaxseeds, and brewer’s yeast. Yay! Plus, the combination of ingredients provides a nursing mama with lots of nutrients her recovering body and milk supply needs like fiber, healthy fats, and protein. Best part, they mix salty, sweet, and savory. I make these for all my new mom friends and they always ask me for the recipe. You can quickly throw these together while your new babe is sleeping. I like to make enough for the week and freeze more for later so I can utilize my time and resources wisely. It is all about efficency with a new baby.
